Nsz9F.tmp... this is an example of a group of files on my C: drive can I remove them?

.tmp at the end of a file means it is a temporary file. these files act as temporary storage space for programs, u can delete them whenver u see such files. if the program need .tmp file it can create it again, so don't worry about their functionaliy.

You can do a search for all tmp files by putting "*.tmp" (without the quotes) in the search field - then just select all and delete.

You should also be going regularly to Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, then Disk Cleanup - make sure Temporary Files is checked, and let fly.
