I just know it sucks to have to work with c-diff patients everyday. This stuff is gross.

It's a bit hard to know how to help you here because we do not know what sort of level you wish to pitch this research at.





Off the top of my head, here are a few ideas:





Retrospective cohort study looking at different antibiotic prescribing rates and incidence of clostridium difficile related diarrhoea between two different countries/states/hospitals.





Prospective study looking at rationalized antibiotic use (eg introduction of antibiotic protocols) and increase or decrease in clostridium difficile infection rates within a hospital.
